Mohan Shakti National Heritage Park

The Heritage Park spreads over 40 acres of land and is under development. It is situated at Shakti Sthal, Hurt village on the right bank of river Ashwani near Salogra and is about 12 Kms from Solan main city. To reach here you either need to hire a Taxi or an Auto Rikshaw from Solan city. Transportation facility as per public buses is not available right now. Mohan Shakti Trust was set up in 1979 with the sole purpose of developing ancient Indian heritage and for the development of socio-economic and educational status of real, deserving persons.

The concept of Heritage Park as per Brig Kapil Mohan, chairman of Mohan Shakti Trust which has undertaken the Heritage Park project, said that it would be a centre of learning and would generate sufficient inquisitiveness into the minds of people all over the world for Indian philosophy and ancient heritage.

The park has 108 deities of Hindu god and goddesses which has been manufactured by very experience sculpture-re made up of marbles and The work on this heritage is under way for the last 30 years under the supervision of Brig Kapil Mohan.
Besides, it would have a big temple in the centre which would be a major attraction for the visitors. An ayurvedic hospital, a well-stocked library, a hostel for research scholars, a meditation centre, an open air theatre, an indoor stadium, a yagya shala, a langar shala, a ropeway trolley facility for the tourists, a tourist hostel, children park, musical fountains and fast-food centres would be the other attractive features of this unique national heritage park.

Brigadier Mohan said the park would also have a first aid centre, a security office, a police outpost, a bus stand, a sufficient parking area, a dharmshala and Sulabh shauchalya. It will also have a residential block.
As a special gesture, the Mohan Shakti Trust had also decided to adopt the entire gram panchayat of Salogada for a total literacy programme.

An ayurvedic research centre at the park would concentrate on ayurvedic medicines and herbal treatment and an ayurvedic hospital with all basic facilities for research and treatment would be attached to it to serve the local needs. The trust has decided to have a mediation centre inside a cave to spread the concept of meditation to help human beings to understand ”self ”. if Swami Vivekananda Meditation Centre could be built in the extreme corner of the country at Kanyakumari, why can’t 100 meditation centres be created to invite 100 top millionaires the world over who might agree to donate their lifetime earnings for such project, argued Kapil Mohan.
Also, the park would have auditorium facility to have laser shows based on Indian mythology and epics of Mahabharata and Ramayana showing how Lord Krishna actually delivered his discourse on Gita or on the inner strength of Goddess Durga or why on all auspicious occasions, Lord Ganesha had to be worshipped.
The concept of Heritage Park will introduce thevedic lifestyle in the common people and can bring the old heritage lifestyle of India back to revival
